I have been paying a bit more attention this year because my Wisconsin Badgers are a #1 seed and have made it to the Sweet 16 for the fourth time in the past five years. For Michigan St., it’s their seventh trip out of the last eight years. Hearing about the consistency and success of these basketball programs really got me thinking.
Why is it that year in and year out the same college basketball teams repeatedly make the Sweet 16?
The venues change, the uniforms change and the players change but the one thing that remains the same are the tremendous coaches leading their teams deep into the NCAA tournament.
