Client Service Associate Job Description

We are seeking a Client Service Associate to join our growing team.

We realize that the title “Client Service Associate” (or “CSA” as we call it internally) is vague. The CSA works with our Client Service Director and Wealth Advisors to provide an excellent experience for our clients. The CSA role is to make our clients feel cared for and to solve their problems. To do this job well will require being comfortable solving problems without clear guidance and treating clients like loved ones.

How to Succeed

Successful CSAs at Illumination…

  • Are responsible for maintaining our CRM (Salesforce) and updating our client records
  • Complete all client account paperwork accurately
  • Process account applications, account transfers and fund requests in a timely fashion
  • Handle client issues, requests, and correspondence
  • Act as the intermediary between clients, advisors, and our custodians, making sure the custodian does their job for the client
  • Provide administrative support to our firm and the advisors
  • Assist team members with client projects and organizing client documentation
  • Help maintain calendars
  • Ensure the office is fully stocked with the proper supplies
  • Are comfortable with cloud-based applications, e-signatures, and learning new software
  • Maintain standard operating procedures of the role
  • Exhibit a positive can-do attitude
  • Have exemplary attention to detail

Requirements / Qualifications

  • 1-3 years of in the client service arena or within financial service
  • Bachelor’s degree
  • High degree of accuracy, detail orientation and strong problem-solving skills
  • Ability to take direction from multiple parties, work independently, balance multiple deadlines, and remain detail-oriented and well-organized
