Illumination Wealth is a fast-growing , comprehensive financial planning firm that provides personal wealth advice for entrepreneurs and their families to ensure their money makes a difference in leading a life of freedom, fulfillment, and impact. We are seeking a Part-Time Bookkeeper to join our growing team and deliver a new experience for our valued clients. This role is slated to become Full-time role within 3 months. The Bookkeeper will work with our clients to provide a complete financial management, organization, and bookkeeping service. The bookkeeper’s role is to help our clients take further control of their financial life including a deeper level of financial clarity and time freedom. To do this job wonderfully will require being extremely well organized, having a keen eye for detail, and an ability to communicate and treat our clients like loved ones.
What You’ll Do:
  • You will own all bookkeeping matters and are instrumental in building out all of our internal bookkeeping process, workflows & family office services.
  • You are the first point of contact for all bookkeeping clients, and wow, do they love you. You will onboard our new clients and provide insights to our clients about their financials.
  • Provide accounting software set up, clean up, and management to our clients.
  • Diligently reconcile monthly bank, credit card and investment account statements to help our clients ensure they have pristine financials.
  • Provide expert budget planning so our clients feel confident in their personal lifestyle.
  • Carefully monitor our clients cash flow to catch abnormalities and correct issues.
  • Provide consistent communication with clients to review their financial and accounting activities.
  • Disseminate regular financial reports to our clients.
  • Ensure the complete organization of all client financial records.
  • Be a collaborative liaison between our clients and third-party professionals to support data communication

Must-Haves

  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting or related field preferred (Associates degree or equivalent with accounting courses are acceptable).
  • 3+ years of experience in bookkeeping.
  • You’re a QuickBooks Online whiz and proficient in Microsoft Office suite (and you love Excel Spreadsheets).
  • Enough tech acumen in cloud-based software that if you don’t already use our software, you feel confidently you can learn it quickly. (Salesforce, SharePoint, Asana, Expensify, HubDoc, etc.).
  • Problem-solving comes naturally. If the obvious solution doesn’t work, year read to try Plans A, B & C.
  • Reliability is your middle name. (When you say your going to do something, you do it every time and on schedule).
  • You bring a proactive, positive attitude.
