Join Our Team as an Associate Financial Planner

Are you passionate about helping people live better financial lives? Are you eager to grow in a collaborative, fast-paced environment where learning is constant and your contributions truly matter? If you’re a CFP® professional or on the path to becoming a CFP® professional, this could be the next meaningful step in your journey.

We’re looking for an Associate Financial Planner who thrives on solving problems, digging into the details, and delivering high-quality work that supports our clients and elevates our team. In this role, you’ll work alongside our Financial Planners and Client Service Team to help deliver thoughtful, personalized financial advice. From preparing for and following up on client meetings, to building financial plans and analyzing portfolios, you’ll play an essential role in the planning process—and gain broad exposure to the technical, relational, and strategic work of a modern financial planning firm.

Our clients are entrepreneurs and business owners with complex financial lives that often extend beyond the typical topics covered in CFP® coursework. We integrate personal and business planning in ways that require creativity, curiosity, and a deep understanding of each client’s unique goals and challenges. Success in this role means being willing to stretch beyond your comfort zone, ask good questions, and take initiative to learn—whether that means researching a nuanced tax issue, exploring an unfamiliar planning strategy, or developing a new way to illustrate a financial tradeoff.

You’ll use tools like eMoney, Salesforce, Excel, and Asana to organize information, analyze data, and track progress. You’ll contribute to the systems that keep our work efficient and consistent, and you’ll bring a proactive, can-do spirit to whatever challenges come your way. We’re looking for someone who’s detail-oriented, eager to learn, and committed to doing what it takes to help clients—and teammates—succeed.

At our firm, we believe in making things happen, owning our impact, and growing with purpose. If you’re someone who communicates clearly, thinks critically, embraces feedback, and brings a strong sense of integrity to everything you do, we’d love to meet you.

Responsibilities we’ll trust you with

  • Prepare and assemble client meeting agendas, reports, and supporting documentation
  • Conduct financial analysis, modeling, and research to support client recommendations
  • Draft clear and timely post-meeting summary letters and track follow-up items
  • Enter and analyze client data using tools such as eMoney, Salesforce, Riskalyze, and Excel
  • Build financial plans in eMoney and update them as clients’ circumstances evolve
  • Compile and organize investment account information to generate portfolio reviews
  • Track and complete client follow-ups and action items resulting from meetings
  • Deliver high-touch, concierge-level support by anticipating client needs, managing details with care, and taking initiative to streamline and enhance the client experience
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date client information in eMoney, Salesforce, and Asana
  • Use Salesforce and Asana to manage tasks, track progress, and support team operations
  • Support phone coverage as needed to ensure consistent client service
  • Create and maintain standard operating procedures (SOPs) and checklists for job functions
  • Take initiative to address operational or data issues as they arise
  • Cross-train in essential administrative tasks, including client paperwork and account processing

What You’ll Bring

  • A bachelor’s degree, ideally in Financial Planning or a related field
  • 2-5 years of experience supporting financial advisors or working in a planning-focused environment
  • CFP® professionals or candidates who have passed the CFP® exam preferred, but we encourage strong applicants earlier on the path to their CFP® certification to apply
  • Pursuit of a long-term career in financial planning
  • A keen eye for detail and a high standard for the quality of your work
  • Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines
  • Familiarity with financial planning concepts and tools (e.g., Excel, eMoney, Salesforce)
  • A collaborative, “pitch in where needed” attitude and strong interpersonal communication skills
  • The initiative to solve problems independently and a growth mindset that embraces feedback
  • A sense of ownership-you follow through, fix mistakes, and take pride in your work

Perks

  • Competitive salary with performance-based raises
  • Participation in a firm-wide bonus pool
  • 401(k) plan with generous employer matching
  • Subsidized health insurance and long-term disability coverage
  • Annual continuing education allowance and paid professional dues
  • Generous paid time off to support work–life balance
  • A clear career path with hands-on mentoring from senior CFP® professionals
  • A supportive, team-oriented culture that values growth, collaboration, and a positive work environment

Employment Type: Full-time
Total Target Compensation: $70,000 to $88,000 (includes base salary and bonus)
