Illumination Wealth is seeking a Lead Advisor to be a key member of our client-facing advisory team. Illumination is a growing, boutique RIA firm serving high-net worth entrepreneurs and their families. This is a remote position but will include occasional travel to San Diego for team meetings /retreats and the opportunity to work in our San Diego headquarters at any time. We offer a stimulating, fast-paced environment with long-term growth potential.
The lead advisor who meets or exceeds expectations is on track for equity ownership. Illumination Wealth provides comprehensive financial planning, investment management, and tax planning on a fee-only basis. The owner of the firm has more than 15 years of experience, a tax background, and a roster of growth focused entrepreneurial and real estate investor clients. The Lead Advisor will work closely with Matt and the other members of our team on a variety of projects and will be able to specialize as the firm grows.

SUMMARY OF RESPONSIBILITIES
The Lead Advisor works with Associates and Financial Planners on all aspects of wealth management, including managing client relationships, identifying and meeting client needs, and developing, presenting, and overseeing the implementation of financial plans. To help drive the firm forward, other responsibilities include:
Team Responsibilities: Leading a team and managing the responsibilities and performance within the team; Work closely with Illumination teammates to deliver exceptional service as part of the Illumination Wealth process; actively working to recruit professionals; resolving conflicting priorities and allocating resources within the team; and coaching and developing team members; Stays abreast of significant changes or developments (e.g. taxation, regulatory, legal, competitive, and technical) within the fields of investments and financial services; seeks to learn and find new strategies that can benefit his/her clients, as well as other firm clients.
Firm Responsibilities: Maintain a loyal base of clients in conjunction with other members of the Illumination team; Driving the firm’s strategic planning process and contributing to key initiatives; participating in firm committees; finding ways, large and small, to make the firm better.
Growth Responsibilities: Attracting new clients to the firm; eliciting referrals from existing clients through exceptional client service; Meets or exceeds Client growth goals of team of advisors per financial plan; Achieves annual plan for new business goals, and tracks/monitors progress towards achieving the goal, makes adjustments as needed to adapt to new information, competitive intelligence, points of friction or failure; participating in strategies to develop a niche or specialty market; building a network of professional alliances in the targeted market.
